My parents dubbed me “radar ears” as a child because I always needed to know what was going on in the other room. That insatiable curiosity has served me well as a professional storyteller, in whatever format I’ve found myself working.
I’ve had the chance to live and work in Washington D.C., Seattle, my home state of Hawaii, and now San Diego.
I am rooted in the training I received first at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism (bachelor’s degree in journalism with a history minor) and then a master’s degree in multi-platform journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park.
With over two decades of work in journalism, communications, and writing for non-profits, I am a versatile, seasoned content creator.
Wherever I go, I take with me my constant sense of curiosity and love of sharing great stories. I specialize in writing and reporting about travel, culture, arts, religion and military life.
